it seems that u have installed silverlight run time in your machine instead silverlightdeveloper.exe. this exe contains silverlight run time + required files which developer needs.

Goto start>>run>>regedit>>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>>software>>microsoft>>silverlight

using menu edit>>delete this and file>>exit ..now run it….

This actually helps. I combined this solution and deleting the Windows Live Contacts folder.

i was reading article ‘FLV playback works on local system but not on web server’

mine is a similar problem but i m not the one uploading.

i exported my video on a mac and then converted the mov to flv

the flv works fine playing on two players on different computers (pc and mac)

but it didnt work for the website

my question is

1) isssit how i converted the mov to flv? should i have exported the video as flv in the first place?

2) should i have used a codec specific for webcasting?
